Who I Am
Charity Rauls, MA, LPC
Hi! I’m Charity, a licensed therapist in the Denver, CO area. My guess is you came to this particular place on my website because, let’s be honest, we all want to know a little about the personal lives of our therapist. I’ve been there too! So here are a few non-therapist details about me:
Originally from Georgia, I’ve lived in Colorado since 2010, when my husband and I moved here to attend the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology; I finished my Master’s in International Disaster Psychology in 2012. Since that time, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, with an incredibly broad range of challenges and difficulties. I’ve found that working with people who suffer from the effects of trauma, in particular, is my favorite and the most rewarding use of my education and training.
I’m also mom to two amazing little girls and a wild little boy, an Enneagram enthusiast (I’m a 4; ask me about this and/or tell me your number!), and a singer. I’ve traveled a good bit, although admittedly that has slowed down considerably with little ones at home, and love seeing the world and exploring other cultures and languages. I love to laugh and spend time with my sweet little family and with friends, watch bad 90s movies and tv shows, and listen to any music that is fun to sing along with! Lastly, as someone who has been through her own significant loss and trauma, I know the difficulty and the necessity of working through the most painful memories and experiences of your life… and I also know the freedom that comes from doing that work. I’m passionate about every human knowing his or her worth and finding healing from their past.
I’m also an LGBTQIA+ ally and believe passionately that Black Lives Matter. ALL are welcome and embraced.
No matter who you are, I’m so glad you’re here.
